I want to move to 225/45/19 on my 313s at the front of my e93
Fed up with the ride quality and the rims cracking! Anyyone tried this? Any rubbing? |

Currently 225/35/19 on 8" rim
With the state of the roads round here, the ride is horrible, and I've trashed one rim, and have 2 welds. Just had the struts replaced with standard sachs, and there seems to be enough clearance to the strut, but I'm thinking about the arch liner especially when turning. |

I ditched my 19" and went a square set of 17" with standard tyres for the very same reason. 235/45/17 matches 225/35/19. And a 45 wall still offers plenty of performance. Picked up an E60 5 series space saver as well. Many go 18" as its seen as a fair compromise of looks and ride. I felt however there is only anther 15mm of wall size on the 19s, so not enough for me. Perhaps if not RFTs it may work. Been told you don't want to stay far from OE diameter, its upsets all the traction control feeds. Not sure if that's true just what the tyre guy said. |

Thanks for all the replies
![]() It's prompted me to look at 18s I found some 2023 z4 wheels and tyres. I plugged the detail into the comparison table, and it looks like the rears poke 11mm more and the fronts poke out 17mm more. Many people run 15mm spacers, so I think it'll work? The wheels I have are; Front 8j19 ET37 225/35 Rear 9j19 ET39 255/35 The new ones are; Front 8j18 ET20 225/45 Rear 9j18 ET28 255/40 Am I right? |

Have a play hear. Just make sure you put your best guess parameters in on the rim and tyre size calculator with the top link.
Make sure any spacers used are hub centric and bolt on. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2201804 |

That seems very true. Lots of 19s for sale and lots of 18s but fron G series!
Good 18s with tyres seem to go for around £600, but I have found brand new for £900 at a place called exteme alloy wheels. Might wait till after the winter and treat myself. I like the look of the 18" Romac venom 5 double spokes. Still a staggered setup I'd go 255/40, 225/45 |

18's would certainly be better for ride but I used to run 235/35/19 on 313's with no real issues but could potentially push to a 40 profile.
