MSD85 Programming Hardware

Sorry for the diversion, but can anyone point me to OBDii SPI reflashing for the MSD85 in the TTV8 cars? I am interested in what is out there for reflashing only (hardware, not tuned files).

Thanks!

I don't think there's anyone out with anything yet.

The CMD can do it as well as EVC's tool. There are a few others but I only know the tuning company name and not the flash tool manufacturer.
What do you have in mind?

I've got the new five series on order and have seen some work out of Germany with +100 Ft-lbs from 1800 almost through red line.

I know of the CMD stuff as well as Dimsport. I contacted CMD about doing a one tool per car approach for the MSD80/81/85 to serve the US market but they were not interested. I was hoping someone on this side of the pond had gotten lucky with a programmer (the Shark guy perhaps) and that there would be an affordable option (not Frieling == $7500, CMD == $7500 and DimSport == $5000 but does not do MSD85s).

I have a multiseat OLS license and most of the BDM tools but did not know they were doing the TriCore BMW stuff. I will look into it as BDM would work just fine for my personal car. I'd just like to see a flasher per car so we could all put our cars back to stock before they go into the dealer for service.

Thanks....
