The Silver Cloud era at Rolls-Royce ushered in a new era with technical advances and ever more luxury. The Silver Cloud I used the old straight six engine. In 1959, the Silver Cloud II adopted a 6.2-liter aluminum V-8 engine providing improved performance and throughout the era additional equipment became either standard or optional.
The Silver Cloud II saloon was built in-house, while coupes and drophead coupes were available from coachbuilders. Here are a couple of 1959-60 Silver Cloud II saloons and a H.J. Mulliner-bodied drophead coupe.
