Happened a few years ago. He hang around for about a hour. He was looking for someone to play with him.

I sat down in the garden and he came within 2 feet (last photo). Such a pretty boy, never saw him (as a young fox) again. Love that little guy.

So true!

Brings a tear to my eye as we lost our Tuxedo Kittie not quite 3 months ago. Almost identical markings.

My deep sadness is not gone yet, but I'm trying to focus on the great companionship we enjoyed for 18.5 years. She was full grown when she showed up in our yard, so she could've been 20+ years old. I always enjoyed watching her enjoy our yard, including the warm bricks. She slept between us every night, partially covered. I miss the purring, too.

Oh yeah, one other thing. I always got a kick out of her doing one last look at the yard before bedtime. She'd push the window blind aside with her head and spent about 5 minutes checking out the backyard, then hopped into bed.
