Curious question, why are single humps more desired? I feel like the added tech modernizes the car.

Green + brown wagon doing wonders again, $28,000 is sky high for this car (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...orts-wagon-26/) IMO. Congrats to the seller though, it was listed for $23,000 before it went on BaT and people were skeptical to say the least.

Man, I'm still kicking myself for selling my Tasman 6-speed wagon back in 2017, mine was in even better shape than that one and I only took $12k for it. I LOVED that color.

Surprised it went for that much for a non-Sport. Good for the seller!

Lot of folks feel like it's more old school, more enthusiast oriented, cleaner look.

(And at this point, E90 iDrive is dated anyway unless you aftermarket upgrade to CarPlay or whatever, so might as well go with the cleaner look, less-stuff-to-go-wrong approach.)

Personally, I do like the look of the single hump dash. It's definitely a cleaner look. But I upgraded to CarPlay with back up camera, so I absolutely think it's worth it.

The E90 is already a 20 year old anachronism, so why have dated tech on it. Particularly if it's an older CCC set up. Those are trash IMHO. The only way to salvage CCC is to add Android Auto or Carplay.
People who really like E90s like them because of the NLA naturally aspirated inline six, hydraulic power steering, and lack of screens on their cars.
Plus it's a failure point. Doesn't happen often, but there are some data points about the CIC bricking the car. It doesn't really add anything other than something to fiddle with... Oh look, my oil is down 1/4 quart, what will I do??? All that is readily available on your cluster display.
I guess the only redeeming feature is that it lists Sirius channels out nicely so you can see the song/artist easier. Yay?

Contrary to the craze for single humps, I personally wish that my car came with the CIC The interface, arguably, is very utilitarian and not too outdated. Any faults/error codes are clearly displayed and does not require a code reader. A $200 CarPlay box is also now readily available everywhere on the internet and makes maps and aids like Waze so much more accessible on a great looking screen (resolution is actually surprisingly good considering it's almost a 20 y/o tech). But each to their own!

Yeah, I also like NAV double hump cars better. Even my old e46 wagon has NAV and that OEM mk4 system is decades out of date but still charming and was fun to use.
I guess some people want to unplug back to the early Aughts / late 90s…or pretend they are driving an e34/2.. the first Tourings in US and last to not have some form of factory nav nor cell phone integration option. Last of the truly analog cars too.

He sold it for more than he bought for so he had it for 3 years and was paid to drive it.

Just because they are more simple and cleaner. Last Generation BMW with out a screen as Standard. This thread makes me miss my 6speed E91. I moved on to an F31 and the feel isnt their anymore. I’ll be back one day.

Need some advice. I went and looked at a wagon. It’s from NYC, so I expected some corrosion. However most of the hinges looked rusted, they just replaced a caliper because it was seized. I noticed these holes on the driver front fender in the engine bay. Is this normal? Located in Georgia so I don’t see corrosion often. Any advice or help is appreciated. Every bolt on this car looks like it has corrosion. 88k miles. $9,500

I would say that E91 has lived outside most of it's life. Have you run a carfax on it to see where else it has resided? There are certain areas that I would have expected the corrosion that's on that car that's worse than expected. Our E91 sits outside, but I do not think it's that bad. Sorry, not much help, but worse than I would have expected. I live in Northern New Jersey.

The carfax says it was only registered in NY. Dealer claims they bought it from Carmax because they don’t take cars from certain years and miles.

Looking to buy an LCI E91. Preferably less than 100k miles. I want nav, Auto, and no beige interior unless it’s red. Willing to compromise for the right car.

Super clean 2011 silver 328 with black interior. Single hump. 84,350 miles. Auto. Xdrive. Located at BMW of Ridgefield in CT.

I checked it out. 2 owner. Engine bay looked good. No leaks that I could see visually from valve cover or ofhg. Did not get the opportunity to check it out on a lift, but they seemed open to it. They were asking $15,990. I got them down to $14,500 in half an hour. Would prob go less. I told them it’s still expensive and was approaching manual money. Was looking for my wife.

Run from this car. If the rust wasn't enough, the ad hoc grounding wire coming from the valve cover should tell you how service was handled historically.
