Lol you should've cut it off or pried and pulled at the some time.. No need for an indy J. Just get a brass nipple with an npt fitting, a drill, a 1/4" pipe tap, drill, and jb weld. You can fully remove your manifold or just do it with it on and remove the tb. Be super careful that if you don't remove your manifold that you clean it out well.. and of course, I'm not liable..

Oh and another thing, if you're in a pinch quick setting epoxy works (or so I've heard).. Personally I went with jb weld under the impression that it was stronger.

you can replace the stock nipple with the same barbed fitting.

No wrong answer, just depends on what you feel comfortable doing.

Some people wanted a designated hole for the tial and the stock nipple for other connections.
Jeff@TopGearSolutions did you remove your intake manifold when you tapped the new hole?

I actually put mine in one spot to the left and still didn't take it off... Granted I'm flexible.. The hole for the tb is huge.. Just put it closer and you'll have an easier time and maybe even faster bov actuation being closer to the tb.. Nevermore the guys advice about breaking the intake.. That won't happen and you won't find a 1/8 pipe tap anywhere fast... I recommend tapping and using jbweld.. You can reach in and feel the backside of the oem spot too.. Since you ha e a hole there.. Do it there. Makes sense. I pinched off my oem spot

I went a head and took mine off, I wanted to see how much carbon buildup I had.

I took a hose, cut it, bent it over, and zip tied it for use with a gauge later on.

It took me 30 minutes but I run without a cowl and without an engine cover so it's quicker for guys like me.
P.S. Our chargepipe isn't seated perfected, you notice? The section closest to the bumper is good, but as you look around towards the driver seat there's a slight gap

I don't run a cowl either. 30 min isn't bad at all. Yeah I noticed it wiggles slightly but I hold boost and build boost just fine. I'd like to get a thicker o ring if I can find one.

Nah, I think maybe you didn't hold it on tight enough as you put the clip on. Not sure.

You guys are picking your hoses at Autozone? I see mine has a 5/32nd which comes out to be just a tad under 4mm (3.9688).

I did this upgrade on my Turbosmart. And I have no flutter but I still have low speed "two stage" blow off. Where there is a faint release of air then a slightly bigger release of air when getting off throttle at low speed.

I used 6mm silicone hose I bought off ebay. Not 4mm. But I also drilled a new hole in my manifold and shaved/covered my old plastic nipple that was the original.

When upgrading the nipple to a brass one it is 1/4" OD nipple.

Yeah after purchasing the nearly 4mm, it does appear to be too small for our Turbosmart.

So you went with a 1/4 to 1/4 brass fitting?
