Hello
Just bought my 2nd E92 as a daily. 16 years old, but I love it already. Will be working through some “snagging”. Started with Oil and all filters, gearbox oil, new Timing chain, headlamp washer motors, fan / heater blower motor and 4 new contis, plenty to come I reckon |

Hello,
I'm based up in Cumbria UK and have succumbed to an e92 coupe. I hadn't planned on purchasing another car as I'd recently sold my manual e46 330i sport touring for not getting used. However, I was lured in by a 325i in space grey! There are going to be a few things to sort I'm sure, so looking forward to enjoying the forum ![]() |

Hello I am a newbie too .. and may now sound like a stupid newbie .. I have a BMW 3 series and I'm not 100% but does 325i sound right for the model number ?
Basically it's 2008 only got 44,000 on clock . However took it to local tyre place and he started going on that this model is known for problems at 50k miles .. then offered to take it off my hands 😉😀. Only question I'm wondering is do anyone know of anything about the oil he mentioned there are known for oil function problem and to keep eye on how much it uses !!. |

I’ve used these on both my e91 and f31 both with 340mm brembo retrofits… and no issues of rusting hats nor squeal /thrumming. A lot cheaper especially with free shipping via Amazon prime. Power Stop EBR1402XPR Front Evolution Drilled and Slotted Rotor Pair As far as pads, the f31 has /had? Msport pads, which were so dusty that I had to clean the wheels every 50 miles, or two days. They ate the rotors in 35k or so. Plus side, They were also so grippy it was like trapping the 3rd wire on a carrier. I got shoulder bruised once when I went to hit the clutch coming up to a stoplight , only US f31s are all auto so I stabbed the brake by accident, lol. The e91 I went a different direction and it has akebono EUR 1880. Ceramic pads, not as much grip or initial bite, but also no squeal and the dust is light colored & wipes off ergo I can go hundreds of miles between actual wheel washes. Since I don’t track and the Akebonos will take away some of the touchiness and excessive dusting and rotor wear of the msport pads, I’m switching to them with powerstop rotors on the f31 this time too.
