e90 wheels/tires fit ?
Hello,
Newbie here, my 1st post.... I would like to ask everyone if this set up will work: 2008 E90 328xi sedan, thinking of installing 193m style staggered 18 x 8 / 18 x 8.5 with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 225/40ZR18 & 255/35ZR18 questions - a) since its a 4wd system is it ok to have the different ratio 40/35 ? b) I currently have RFT 16", will the ride be much harsher ? c) spacers - don't know too much about it, but I see many members talking about it, do it need it ? and if someone could explain the offsets? d) lastly will this setup change my actual speedometer ? I read something here the actual speed is different with different set up ... Thank you in advance to all the reply.... Just bought the E90 yesterday with 22k on the dial. |

B)getting away from RFT will make your ride better regardless of the size. C) check out the tire rack part of the forum. There are some awesome tutorials on offset/spacing/etc. D)that shouldn't change. I went from 17 to 18 and as long as the math adds close on the calculator on the forum you'll be fine Last edited by WapArtist; 01-09-2015 at 01:23 PM.. |

I recently put on the style 95s.
Sport Suspension 265/30/19 Rear and 235/35/19 Front I went with these tire sizes based on other members but it still rubs. I rolled my fenders and it still rubs in the front when I hit a dip in the road at high speeds. It actually rubs the metal tab on the most outer bolt that holds the bumper to the fender. Read through this whole thread and I'm still a little confused on ET spec.
Trying to figure out the specs of style 287 rim from what I gather they are: Front 8x18 ET34 Rear 8x18 ET39 Several times in the thread I saw different ET values for the rear (either ET39/37) I actually called BMW trying to get the specs but after they told me my rims were 8.5x18 front 9x18 rear I lost faith that they know what they are taking about since it appears 2009 335i sport came equipped with 8x18/8.5x18 as per this thread. |

OEM or not completely OEM for my particular car?
Hi - I just bought my 2nd 2006 330xi and this car comes with 17" rims/tires, while my first came with 18's.
I've included a picture to this post. Eventhough I looked at the pictures at the first page of this forum and it confirms that these tires should be the same size, how is the guy running 225 /45 R17 in the front and 255 /40 R17 in the rear? I'm a bit confused. Also, any opinion on whether or not I should just upgrade to 18's? I prefer the style 162 over this one. Any ideas welcome!
