INPA - need help setting up
I downloaded INPA from Bimmergeeks. However, the last row of my screen does not show the options. Ex: read code, clear code and other options, etc. After I selected the engine, it gives me an error message: "IFH-0003: datatransmission to interface disturbed". Did I miss a step somewhere? Need advice.

I believe the setting you are missing could be the Latency Timer (msec) for your COM adapter. The setting should be set to "1"
Details are about midway down this page if it helps: http://blog.obdii365.com/2019/05/30/...d-cable-kdcan/ |

Check your windows folder options and turn off "Hide extensions for known file types", that will show the ".ini" part as that is for sure a known file type. Alternately just edit it (right click/edit) and let windows worry about the extension, it will be handled the same way regardless.

I would suggest reviewing the attached pdf: "INPA Quickstart Tutorial", and seeing if you can access the Functional Jobs Screens shown in the pdf. Try creating jpg image files of "ScreenPrints" of an INPA Screen, so you can attach it here. Procedure for doing that is described in Tutorial if you're NOT sure how to do it. IF, in trying to do any of the things described in the Tutorial, you have any error messages appear, or have any other issues, simply save a ScreenPrint of where you are when the message appears or "the wheels come off", and we can help. Once you've got those basics mastered, and want to connect to the DME we can explain exactly HOW to do that. I can't tell from your description of what you did, but to connect to the DME, FIRST you need to know which engine and DME Variant your vehicle has, and you need to be connected to the Vehicle OBD II Socket. 1) After clicking F3 E90 in Task Bar/ Bottom Row of Screen, a "Script Selection" box appears as shown in the attached Tutorial. 2) Click "Engine" in Left ListBox, and the Right Listbox then fills with possible DME Modules. You would select the correct DME for YOUR vehicle. That's why you need to know the SGBD or Variant of YOUR "12 DME", as listed in SGBD column of Functional Jobs > F2 Identification as explained and shown in the attached Tutorial pdf. For Clarification, my "12 DME" line of Functional Jobs > F2 Identification, as shown in the attached pdf, is for my N52K Engine with MSV80 DME Variant/ SGBD. YOURS will be Different in a 335is: as example N54 (MSD80/MSD81) for early 335is and for later model with N55, one of the other N55 selections. If I have misunderstood exactly WHERE the "IFH-0003" Error Message is occurring, please correct me. George |

Does not matter what I do, the message "IFH-0003 datatransmission to interface disturbed" will pop up after I select the engine. Few people online said, pin 8 & 9 of the cable should be soldered together in order to fix this issue. Is this right?
