30BB 30BA Issues after injector replacement - crank but no start

Hi everyone,

Having an issue with my 07 335i e90. Completely stock and with no tune.

The orig issue started after I picked up my car from the stealership after having a recall done. Car was misfiring badly and was only running on three cylinders and smoking a lot. Rather than getting it towed somewhere else, I decided to bite the bullet and have them diag it. They said I had a few bad injectors and needed new spark plugs as well as two coils.

I think got it towed back to my house and I ordered a set of used index 11 from Straightsixauto. I also ordered the two coils as I knew they were old bosch ones while the rest were Delphi. I also ordered a set of spark plugs from fcp euro aswell and replaced them. During that time I replaced the valve cover gasket and the stealership said it was leaking. I then installed the new injectors with brand new seals and of course used the correct tools needed to install the seals. The car was sitting for awhile so the battery had died. Took it somewhere to get recharged. Then coded the injectors using INPA on my laptop. I rechecked multiple times that I had the correct values inputed in the software and everything seemed to be fine.

I proceeded to try and start the car the first time and it started right up but the idle was surging like it was cammed. I turned the car off and ran the codes using MHD that were there. I got the following:

-DME Active Codes-
29E0: DME: Mixture Control
2CF9: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 1
2CFA: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 2
2D09: DME: THROTTLE
2D1D: DME: Accelerator-pedal module, pedal-position sensor 1, voltage supply.
2DEC: DME: Power Management, battery
2EF7: DME: Map thermostat, activiation

I cleared the codes and tried to restart it and keep getting the following codes:

-DME Active Codes-
2CF9: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 1
2CFA: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 2
2D09: DME: THROTTLE
2D1D: DME: Accelerator-pedal module, pedal-position sensor 1, voltage supply.

I did a little bit of research and had a few people tell me I should reset the throttle adaptations which I did. Not through MHD but with the car in accessory mode and holding the pedal down for 30+ plus seconds then turn car off and remove foot from pedal. Cant remember the exact process but it was very similar to that if not exactly what I did. Let the car sit for a few minutes and then tried to start it. Got the same codes as before except for a new one now and the car would only crank over.

-DME Active Codes-
2CF9: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 1
2CFA: DME: Throttle-valve potentiometer 2
2D09: DME: THROTTLE
2D1D: DME: Accelerator-pedal module, pedal-position sensor 1, voltage supply.
2D67: DME: DME, internal fault: monitoring, processors

I cleared the codes again and then did the reset process again and still would only crank. Cleared the codes again and now the only codes I got were the following:

-DME Active Codes-
30BA - DME: Injectors 1,2,3 or DME, internal fault
30BB - DME: Injectors 4,5,6 or DME, internal fault

So that is where I am at now. I wanted to include as much information as possible to see if anyone could help or point me in the correct direction to go before I get it towed again and taken to an independent shop to have them diag it. It does have the MSD80 and I would find it pretty hard to believe that the mosfets all of a sudden went bad on both banks. Since I have read people usually are getting codes for just 30BA or 30BB. Could I have possibly shorted something in the process or blown the injector fuse? The battery was disconnected when I did the injectors and other items. Is it possible I was sold fake injectors from straightsixauto? I have about 6 days before their warranty ends so I would like to get it figured out before then and don't want just keep putting money into the car if there is something wrong with the injectors. I think my plan is going to be to remove the DME and open it and test each mosfets transistor to see if any are bad.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated. I have done a good amount of research on other forums and read a good amount of people having similar issues.

That vid is pretty identical to what is happening to mine.

I have also read through this forum which I have seen linked multiple times to people except I am not getting any misfire codes and when it was running it seemed and felt completely fine except for surging which made it sound cammed. After it was not starting and just cranking over I did smell some fuel in the exhaust but it was very slightly and im guessing that was just excess from the car trying to start.

Most likely DME failure.
