i need help! music is my huge selling point on a car usually, i got my e90 and i bought subs and a new stereo to hook em up, but it wasnt a plug and play so i sent it to my buddy to do the wiring but he cut the original plug out, he tired to put the old one back on but cut the fiber optics which run the OEM amp to the speakers correct?, i need help can i fix them? whats the wiring for them look like? idk what to do and i need my music!

Establish the actual sound system you have .
This is not the head unit. This is the type amp and speakers.
You will need a new fiberoptic cable to run between the back
of the Head unit and the nearest connection point , which is probably
the Test Point under the steering wheel panel if it's and 06 to 09 model year.
There already be one in the car in the uninstalled options pre
wiring.

If you have logic 7 the head unit runs a fiberoptic pair to the amp .
There is a 9 channel amp which runs the speakers already installed.
If you wanted subs and you want to use the stock amp as a source
you have to tap of the speaker wires from the amp to the existing speakers.

If you want to use an aftermarket head unit with a logic 7 system or any BMW system it's more difficult because of the way it's integrated with the rest of the car.

A logic 7 bmw amp requires a translation module that converts analog signal from the amp into the BMW fiber optic signal that the amp understands.

Putting and aftermarket head unit in these is tricky and difficult .
The logic 7 amp outputs a fiber optic signal for the BMW logic 7 amp
you need a converter for aftermarket head unit if you keep the BMW Logic
7 amp .
