Loudoun County, VA Emissions for high flow cats and blow off valve
I just wanted to know the legalities and the passing of emissions, since I'm planning on replacing my charge pipe and adding a blow off valve. I also plan on swapping my stock downpipes to VRSF high flow catted downpipes. So if anyone around here is familiar with it, would these changes pass emissions and laws? Thanks. I have an N54 335is e93.
Side note - I am stuck between getting either a Tial Q BOV, Turbosmart BOV, or HKS BOV. Leaning towards tial or turbosmart though. Quality-wise, not too focused on sound. The car is stock performance-wise so far, will plan to go full bolt ons (except high flow catted dp instead of catless) in the future. Which brand should I get? I've had DCI, chargepipe, and Tial Q BOV for years now, never had a problem with emissions. I doubt they even look under the hood, probably just connect to the OBDII port. No problem with inspections either, but all the asshats with insanely loud, shitty sounding exhausts in my neighborhood seem to be passing as well, so you're probably fine.
If I did things over, I'd likely go with a different BOV, maybe even recirc instead of VTA since just the intake makes it louder already. |
