Rear Suspension Refresh
I have an '11 328i xdrive with bad rear bump stops. Was hoping to refresh my suspension while it is apart. The car has only 45k miles & the suspension is stock, non-m sport.
From FCP Euro, I see the Sachs shocks among others. Which shock do you reccomendation on the rear if I am not touching the front suspension? I did see the Monroe (thread) & powerflex option on FCP. Should I go with either of these if the front stays stock? They also have a full stock mounting kit - not sure what to order. |

The full mounting kit is nice - I'd recommend doing shock mounts and the whole 9 yards while you're in there. Why cheap out and have to come back later? |

I recently replaced the B4 shocks, lower mounts, bump stops and boots on my E92, I didn't realize that the shocks were in such bad shape. I didn't want to lower it and the ride is comfortable despite the terrible local roads.

I like the Monroe top mounts.
I also prefer to support FCP over Mr. Bezos, but the Monroes are usually even cheaper over on Amazon. I would do OE lower mounts, as well, though you probably don't have to. They're not made of the same soft rubber that the OE upper mounts are. |
