194M Staggered Setup - Will 225s Fit All Around?

Recently purchased an E90 M Sport with 194M wheels and assumed since it's XDrive they had to be a square setup... I was wrong. I purchased 225/45/R17s, but when I got the car I saw that it was actually 255/40/R17s on the back... Checking the window sticker, it did in fact get optioned with the staggered setup.

Question, will somewhere like Discount Tire still mount the 225s? Is it suggested I rather go with the 255 in the back if I have the chance? Will the square setup from a tire perspective, but staggered rim setup cause any issues with the XDrive?

It's not the stagger it's the rolling diameter or circumference. Staggered size is fine as long as the diameter remains equal front to back for X drive.

Thanks for that! Discount Tire wouldn't install the 225s on the back considering they'd stretch.

They're saying the can do a 245/45/17 or 245/40/17, but wanted to see if anyone can point me in the right direction for the right rolling circumference. I looked at the calendar below and it looks like the 245/40/17 is showing a 1% difference while the 245/45/17 is showing 2%. Is that the correct way to read it? Meaning I should go with the 245/40/17?

Didn’t risk it and went with the factory specs. Thanks for the input!
