BMW 3 E90 Automatic 2007 Tyre Pressures?
First post here and I hope someone can help me, please.
BMW-320D-E90-Automatic-Diesel-Manufactured 2007-UK Spec. Tyres, both front and rear, are: 225/45ZR17 94Y. The car almost never carries more than just me or one passenger (my wife) and it averages very low mileage (probably around 1,000 miles per year). Also, due to my geographical location, I rarely drive above 40mph, if ever. Door plate only covers for 4 occupants, plus and states pressures should be 2.1 front and 2.5 rear for the tyres with a "V" suffix. None of the tyres on the door plate have my "Y" suffix. Accordingly, I've taken that instruction on board and inflated them to the "V" type, as per the door plate.. However, all the tyres look "low" to me and two random people have also separately approached me to say one or more appear to be nearly "flat". I've seen all sorts of conflicting advice, courtesy of the Internet, ranging as high as 3.6 front and 3.8 rear. I cannot afford to visit a BMW service centre for such a seemingly trivial matter. Retired on a meagre pension even though, in my late teens - early to mid twenties, I was convinced I'd be a millionaire by 30 (how so, I had no idea nor still do). So any experienced advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Last edited by JayBlake; 03-27-2025 at 09:34 AM.. Reason: Spelling |
