Slow gas filling on 2 cars
I have an 09 335xi and a 15 X1 n55. Both cars have the same issue when I'm getting gas, the 335 more often though. When I'm pumping gas I have to go pretty slow because if I put the lever down to keep the gas flowing I'll get a few gallons and the pump shuts off. It doesn't do it at all times or at all stations but it happens often enough it's a pin in the ass. On the 335 I get an evap micro leak code occasionally but haven't on the X1. I've also noticed that if I park on a steep incline with a full tank in either car I have fuel leaking out. I know on the 335 it's leaking from the driver side above the fuel pressure reg. I've got a new one to swap in when I do my fuel pump upgrade. I haven't checked the X1 as it's only happened once.

slow filling is a well known ''issue'', and fuel leak is something else, you need to follow the fuel line to fix this one asap.
There's many thread on slow fueling, and turning the fuel gun up do the trick. Looks odd , but works. other than that you have to dig to find the issue around the vent or dmtl. Which I didnt do, I live with looking stupid a the gas station. |

I used to have this issue it could be due to holding the pump it started filling on the side and it would catch the gas in the tank and shut it off so i just let go of the pump and i stop having the problem, the leak though you need to follow the fuel line to find the issue

overfilling is to the 0.01$ can cause issues, but e90s are prone to this even if you dont. |

The charcoal in your charcoal canister is all clumped together and blocking the venting. Remove the canister from the rear on the drivers side. Bang it on the ground until you break apart the charcoal. It may take 10-15 minutes of banging it on the ground until you can hear it break apart. This has worked on multiple E90 I have had this issue with.
