Are E92 sport springs the same as E90 sport springs?

Looking to refresh my E90's suspension. Thinking of going with the sports springs and struts/shocks.

I have a friend who removed the oem sport springs from his E92 335i. Is it the same spring between both E90 and E92's sport packages? Can't find part numbers for the OEM spring for both.

If not does anyone have a recommendation for springs to go with? Not looking to lower the car much if at all, just want a spring rate that will match the sport struts/shocks.

That being said, debating going with Bilstein B6 or B8 dampers as well. Does anyone have experience with that and know what spring combination works well with those? Looking for an OEM+ setup. Thanks in advance!

Good question. I couldn't find part #s on realoem.com for my car, which also lists models sharing the part in the details page, but vendors like Rock, ECS list specific options for different body types, transmission

I refreshed my setup a few months ago and sourced oem pkg from strutmonkey.com

Probably not, but it depends on model/options etc as well as the chassis.

The springs will have a letter-number code printed on them, probably "D6" or similar. If these match your springs, then they are the same.

Easiest way to find the spring you'd need if you're coming from non-sport is to look up a spring catalog - iirc the suplex catalog has a xref from model to D-code.

thanks for the contact, will reach out to them. What package did you end up going with? And did you happen to measure the spring height you went with?

I refreshed Factory Sport springs paired with Bilstein B4 OEM spec. The height measurement from lower rim edge to center of wheel arch is Front 600mm, Rear 572mm (17" wheels). It's just a little lower than stock, so there's still about 2 fingers clearance up front, 1 finger at rear (between tire and fender).

That's my preference and limits bumper scrapes. My worn Sport struts were only 3/4" lower and scraped driveway exits and occasionally bottomed out over speed bumps unless I slowed to a crawl.
