ABS causing limp mode?
For the last week, my 2011 3281 convert has been going into limp mode. Restarting usually fixes the problem. First time, I went straight to a local parts store to use a code reader, but no codes showed up. After it happened again, I again went to the parts store, but this time the guy said it was an ABS problem and I need to replace the speed sensors.
Searching this forum, lot of people talked about dash lights letting them know there was a problem with their ABS, but no one mentioned their car going into limp mode. Also, I've never had any warning lights go off. Replacing the speed sensors seems easy enough, but something tells me the speed sensors aren't the problem. Thoughts? |

Someone suggested the transmission speed sensor would throw a code similar to the wheel speed sensor. They cost $200 instead of $20 like the wheel sensors!

I'd suggest you post your issue on the General E90 forum. This sub-forum attracts fewest eyeballs and is generally focused on performance upgrades as opposed to diagnosing mechanical issues.
