so long story short i bought this 2010 335xi and after fixing all misfires and boost leaks i was taking it on a test drive in front of my house and the serpentine belt came off, oil filter housing gasket was the last thing on the fix it list after i bought this car. took off the subframe and dropped the oil pan no belt material had gotten into the oil pickup or in the timing chain so put everything back and took it in a test drive about a week and a half ago and the car has this horrible sound only when coming to a stop and i really can’t figure it out. this car is a xdrive and the only thing i figured it was, was the rearward control arms because the bushing were horrible and the wheels had so much play because of them. replaced those those control arms and the ball joints they connect to but no difference, also noticed the engine had too much much play so replaced the engine mounts also and still no difference. i’m going to post a video with this thread and please give me a idea of what it is, i’ve inspected all of the suspension and can’t find no play my only ideas are that either the axels have gone extremely bad internally and are making this noise or it’s the struts. i have jacked the car up on all 4 and tried to recreate the sound but it only happens when the car has load on it so it makes me think the front struts. please someone help me with ideas of what they think it could be. one final note, this car did not make this car before taking everything apart and it is an xdrive model
