Sos malfunction solved

I know there hasn't been much mentioned about this topic lately regarding the SOS Malfunction but I recently bought an E92 and came across this issue.

My cars symptoms were no bluetooth and SOS error on cluster and iDrive but audio (Aux/Radio/etc.) DID work. My car does not have SAT Radio.

I spoke with some local BMW shops around the Bay Area as well as in other parts of the US and they all told me to try out BimmerCode. I bought an OBDLinkCX and downloaded BimmerCode onto my iPhone and tried it out.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER -> EXPERT MODE -> TCM_ALIVE_MONITOR -> NICHT_ACTIVE -> TCM_ID_MONITOR -> NICHT_ACTIVE

Worked like a charm. Error code gone but this does not solve the SOS issue nor does it fix the Bluetooth. This being, I am upgrading to a CarPlay headunit so that should solve my Bluetooth issue.

Good luck to everyone else out there having this issue. Definitely worth trying BimmerCode before spending hundreds in diagnostic fees at the dealership.
