Strange issue with plastic fender, will it be warrantied?

Well, it seems that somehow my passenger's front fender has a slight dent in it....it's about 6 inches and due to the angle of the fender it's hard to spot but I spotted by running my hand over it. It also looks like it is bent out, which makes me believe that it happened during when my car bottomed out hitting a pot hole. There is no crack or pent damage....very strange...

Anyway, considering that the fenders are plastic and they are designed not to dent, what is the deal here?

What do you think the dealer will say if i bring this to their attention?

Don't know... but this video reminds me of Saturn. they beat BMW to it. Lets just hope our favorite car manufacturer does not also follow them going ouyt of business!

Do you guys think that it's even possible to incur this damage by bottoming out? Stock suspension?

BMW will not cover cosmetic damage under warranty..ever..

This will not be warranteed - damage was caused by an external force (pothole) and BMW makes no representation that the fender will be replaced under warranty in the event of a road hazard. Give it a shot though, but you'll likely just get a "nice try" chuckle.
