Porsche 24 hour invite
Received a letter from Porsche UK inviting me to take a 24hr test drive in a Cayman. Are they not selling well or something? Anyway, just spoken to them and booked 24hrs in a Cayman S. Well, it would be rude not to, particularly as I'm on holiday and have the chance to blast about a bit.
![]() Quite excited actually, as a Porsche 911, (particularly older 993 or new 997), has always been on my wishlist. By all accounts the Cayman S is a solid performer though. Will post impressions after the drive, which is on Wed 29th August. ![]()

Now if we're talking tractors - I'd prefer a Lamborghini over a Porsche any day!

Lawn mower racing- it's the way to go!
![]() ![]() ![]() "A Group 4 mower is a lawn tractor with chassis designed for 18hp, which has been designed to cut grass for domestic purposes. It will have the engine situated in front of the operator, covered by an obvious bonnet. A rotary blade cutting deck will be suspended under the chassis between the front and rear wheels. The original tyre sizes will have an obvious size difference front to rear offering a profile of a ‘baby’ agricultural tractor.Anyone preparing a new Group 4 mower must contact the race committee. Do not assume that your type of machine is homologated even if you think you have seen something similar racing" It could be 'the clincher' for attracting members to UK4! ![]() Viv |

He was following me into a car park recently and I had the windows down ... his flat six totally drowned out the noise from my engine. It sounded VERY nice indeed. I'd definitely get one if I didn't have kids. (actually that's a lie I'd get a Lotus Exige) |

![]() Look forward to seeing/hearing about the Caymen S - I can really see me owning one at some point in the future (probably not the S but definitely Cobalt Blue) - no kids you see so that makes the decision much easier for me. though Porsche servicing costs can be horrendous!

I received an unsolicited letter from Porsche GB with a pamphlet. When I rang them they had me down as still owning a Mazda RX8. The letter stated that they had received my details from a 3rd party.

![]() We don't need to haul kids on a regular basis, but it is useful to have the space for when I need to drag my keyboards and amp around the place for gigs, or to take friends out.
