USB drive not recognized for software update
I am trying to update the software using the USB port in the center console but the thumb drive is not being recognized. Tried formatting FAT32 and FAT (2GB) on a PC and a Mac. Continue to get "No USB device with software connected to the USB audio interface" error. Plugged it in with and without engine on, for several minutes but still the same message. Any ideas? My car is 2011 e92.
Thanks! |

When I did my software update though a 3rd party provider, they specified a 32gig USB configured to fat 32.
Intitiallly I had an issue with the software, later I found out it was because I provided them with the wrong vin number for my car. After reciving the software again with the correct vin, no issues at all. Also make sure you use the USB in the glove box |

Tried both center and glove compartment USB. Same problem. How long does it take for the drive to be recognized after plugging it in? I've read some saying a couple of minutes but that seems way too long
