Awesome thread...thank you!
Theodore,
Kudos for taking the time to compile this list!

Great thread! Anyone happen to know the part number for the Duralast battery alternate replacement?
Thanks for the time spent on this Theodore
Great thread!
I'd add simply to buy a battery tender when getting this car, especially if you drive it infrequently. The electronics on these cars drain the battery faster, and the alternator disengages when the engine is under load.
I hook mine up to the trunk, but the hood point also works. My car is 7 years old, and I'm still on the original battery.

Phenomenal job on this thread. I'm sure this will help out more than just the newbies
Thank you
Great write up. Wish this was available when I purchased my M.
Theodore (OP) is trying to get together a run on 9/17. I for one am hoping I can make it.
This is why I love enthusiast forums, thank you.

Many, many thanks.... Such a great thread for E9X owners.

Subscribing to this for any future newbie post use. Thanks for sharing! Very nicely compiled.
Insurance... Kinda wish I knew about that beforehand but it's whatever. State farm got me at $225/month full liability

Yea apparently it's more if you're driving an E90 which is weird cuz I'd figure M3 coupes would be more expensive to insure?
Bump for a thread that newbies may not see if not at the top.

I appreciate the wisdom of Theodore. It's not just the information. It's also the tone: what to worry about and, equally important, what NOT to worry about. Thank you, sir.
Buying an e92 M3 shortly. Thanks for the valuable info.
This needed to be a Sticky ages ago. Moderators, what are you waiting for?
Oh right, OP isn't a paying vendor.
