En fait, ils aiment la voiture donc ils vous laissent généralement passer en premier

hey eugene, how bout suggesting some good places to visit in tw? The GF wants to go somewhere this weekend and I have no idea where to go. I'd like to keep it in the taipei county/city.
i was thinking of 九份 and 北投. Any other places or awesome restaurants?

九份 and 北投 are good but its usually really packed on the weekends.

i would take 九份 small shops and resturants

The last time I was in Taipei (1990), there were so many motorcycles.
And traffic rules/regulations, forget about it. I don't know why there are even lines painted on the road, nobody seemed to follow them anyway. I didn't see any traffic police anywhere. Don't know if that has changed since then...
But I must imagine that it is frustrating not being able to open up the car like you want to with all that congestion...

thats the exact reason why i want to go try it

hah i've been riding those uh scooter bikes illegally for 2 weeks in Taipei already. All I have is my CA's drivers license.
I wonder what'll happen if i get pulled over lol but I heard money solves everything in Taiwan.
