Setting up shift light

Do they work at all in "D" mode? Don't know what the point would be but I'm curious. I've only seen the lights work in sequential mode. What's interesting is that how quickly you accelerate seems to be a factor in how soon (at what RPM) the first lights illuminate.

Me too and set the M-KEY did not work!!!! Does it only work in manual mode as I was in "D"?.
