Hey guys/gals. I have a color question. I've seen Silverstone in pics, I've seen Space Gray, Mineral White in pics, Jerez Black in pics.

I've had 3 M3's, 2005 Carbon Black, 2006 Carbon black, and a 2009 Alpine White.

Can someone tell me the difference in their own words what the difference in Jerez and carbon black is?

Can someone explain Silverstone to me?

Mineral white differs from Alpine in what way?

I'm leaning to Silverstone, but not having seen it with my own eyes live and in person leaves me some questions.

I am ordering tomorrow, so any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
Silverstone is looks like a light silver with a light blue flake. In dark light I find it looks silver but in the sun you can see the light blue come out.
I don't think Jerez Black has quite as much blue flake as Carbon Black but the Jerez car I drove was pretty dirty.
I can't comment on the MW as I haven't seen one in person.
Thanks for the quick reply, anyone else with some knowledge?
This is my old Silverstone II car:

So much win in your 30th post, wonder what your 300th will be like...

Let me help you out, maybe you should consider a 335is, it's way better than an M3.
If an asshole is somebody that helps you, what that makes you?

I second that!
Yikes - M3crazy I'm assuming you will be changing your user name after this thread. Pretty sure you just burned out this one.

As Barbara Billingsley/June Cleaver said in Airplane!: "Chump don wan no help, chump don git no help."
Not sure how you could lean towards Silverstone without seeing it in person?

It is a unique color. I know of no other production car with a similar hue. I'm sure owners can give a better description, but I find it to be silver with a very strong blue/green hue to it. It's definitely not as pure silver as those pictures above represent. In the sun, it has much more blue/green.

:word: Couldn't have been put any more eloquently. Anytime is a good time for an airplane reference
If you're into the gray to black tones, I'd stick with Space Gray or Jet Black.
Those other blue/black tones are just too indecisive of colors for me.

Azurite Black looks the bluest, followed by Carbon Black and Jerez Black. Out of the colors you mentioned, Silverstone II or Space Grey is the way to go. If you can do an individual order than Moonstone metallic and Azurite Black are both nice too. I would stay away from Jerez if you are a Carbon Black fan.
