how to remove engine cover?

I assume you mean the intake plenum....

See this DIY for changing the Throttle actuator. You have to take off the intake plenum so it tells you how:

no i mean the cap m3 v8 cap i want to take that off and paint myself i was looking for that guys

I think you mean the intake manifold. It's one piece. You have to take the entire thing off if you want to paint it.

I'm assuming you want to do something like this:

Stop holding out on the guy, he just wants to know how to take off the engine cap.

You have to remove the ENTIRE manifold. Those screws are not to be removed. Even if you take them off, you will not be able to just remove the top piece.

If you are indeed talking about the intake plenum, then you need disconnect the air intake, unplug the IAT sensor (not from the plenum, from the other end), loosen (no need to remove) all eight throttle body clamps (6mm from what I can remember), then lift up.

Out of curiosity, does anyone happen to have a picture of the underside of the intake plenum once its taken off? Thanks

You cannot separate the halves without likely destroying it. It is two pieces molded together. Those nuts on the top DO NOT separate the two pieces.

Like The Tech said, its one piece. I have a bolt on top missing because I think the previous owner tried the same things and its gone, or heat from the Nurburgring. You loose the bolt you have to buy a whole new plenum hence why I still have one missing. $$$$$
