PrimeBMW wrotewhat if you lack talent and want to look the part? i disagree! i can have a much lighter grip with gloves which is a plus.No they don't. Its all in your head. If your talented your should be able to drive fast in any car and conditions with or without gloves. Now I would recommend them in case of fire.........

on hot days when my hands sweat, I use golf gloves - breathable and super thin, so you don't lose any dexterity.

1MOREMOD wroteI sat next to Dempsey in the driver's lounge at Rolex Monterrey last August and after we chatted a bit, I overheard him talking about Kitch. Pretty sure a lot of his success as a driver/team is a result of Kitch. And don kitch our lead instructor?
Longboarder wroteyep don is a very knowledgeable guy. he is the owner and lead instructor of the racing school, proformance, that i have been running with for 6 years. glad to know him. one thing i havent done is be a passenger with him at the wheel. hes a very humble guy and never really displays his driving skill although i know it to be substantial.I sat next to Dempsey in the driver's lounge at Rolex Monterrey last August and after we chatted a bit, I overheard him talking about Kitch. I think racing gloves are like condoms. They reduce sensitivity
Anything that makes it easier to operate the controls efficiently while under heavy g's will help you drive faster (gloves, racing buckets + harness, etc.)
Porschefile wroteI drove with no gloves for awhile thinking that I'd have better control. Especially since my hands don't sweat a lot.Anything that makes it easier to operate the controls efficiently while under heavy g's will help you drive faster (gloves, racing buckets + harness, etc.)
But applying my hockey logic...I can't stickhandle worth crap barehanded...properly fitting gloves are a massive improvement.
