p0111 error code - air intake sensor

hi guys

need some help on this

basically I had this code pop up ages ago which the obd scan tool read as air intake sensor. I had the sensor changed but after a long drive it seems to have thrown up the engine management light under the same code again .

the car is reading the outside temperature wrong on the in car display and I have also changed the outside temperature sensor which sits on the passenger side brake duct.

Any ideaS?

hmm that doesnt help me lol

did you change it with a new sensor or a used one? Was the new one properly plugged into the harness? And I'm not sure about this but it might be possible the tip of the sensor was wrapped in protective covering during shipping. Was that removed before installation?

Changed it with a new one . the tip is covered with white plastic. Which still allows air to reach sensor
