Advice: E92 335i wheels on E92 M3 (crazy, but hear me out please)

Gentlemen,
In short:

2009 E92 335i - 23k miles (mine - ordered new in 2009)
2012 E92 M3 - 16k miles (old man's - ordered new in 2012)

I might be buying my old man's E92 M3 from him (currently pending sale on my E92 335i).

I've been driving the 335i with the following wheel/tire combo:

• Vortex VT996 (staggered 19x8.5 ET35 and 19x9.5 ET33)
• Pirelli P-Zero Nero (235/35/19 and 265/30/19) mounted and balanced with OEM tire pressure sensors

These wheels are basically Volk TE37 knock-offs. They have served me very well (surprisingly).

I am searching around, but most threads I find discuss fitting M3 wheels on 335i, not viceversa (understandably so). Since I am under a lot of stress (trying to sell the car quickly, otherwise my old man is taking the M3 to frigging Carmax), can you guys help me out with a quick answer on whether or not I can put these wheels on the M3?

If yes, what tire size would you recommend? Can I drive with the current rubber until it wears out?
Are the TPMS' between the two compatible?

The wheels will be closer to the struts in front by 6mm, and the rear by 10mm.

I've never used wheel spacers, but you could use spacers to push the wheels back out to the same location as the stock wheels.

I'll go read the "spacers sticky" now. In the meantime, if anyone has any more input, it would be great.

I wouldn't recommend putting these wheels on an M3 because:

* The wheels are the wrong offsets and would require large spacers to look decent
* The tires are the wrong size for an M3 (diameter is about 1" smaller than OEM)
* The wheels are lesser quality than OEM M3 wheels
* The TPMS used on '08 and '09 M3's is not compatible with '10 or newer M3's. I'm not sure whether the same change was made with the 335i but I would assume so. The TPMS you have will not be compatible with the '12 M3.

There are many high quality wheel options in appropriate sizing for the M3. There are many used sets for sale as well. Sell what you have to a 335 driver and move on.

^ No reason to be upset. There are so many good upgrade options available for the M3! I would not be attached to that wheelset.... There are options out there that are infinitely better.

Simple solution: Sell 335i as is. Buy M3 as is. Replace M3 wheels with used Volks when funds allow.

I know man, I was just joking. It sure would have been nice to slap the TE37 reps on her without too much trouble, though.
