Check my ECU version?

Hi, just bought an '08 M3 and wanting to check what version ECU I have. Saw some posts that referred someone reputable who can check via VIN, but it was from years ago.

Appreciate the help! Willing to venmo for the service.

Simply hitting identify is enough to tell you the version, but you can also make a full backup if you like.

If you want to write modifications you’ll need the bimmergeeks or similar cable mentioned, but for reads any cable is fine.
