Posts getting nuked left and right either by a database error or a new anti-political moderation stance?

I posted a pretty innocuous (from a political standpoint) post about egg supply chain that got disappeared earlier.

1) It isn't a new policy:

Why the Politics & Religion section has been removed.

Stock market tips and experiences [#8693]

2) I've heard that banned camp is a very lonely place.

3) There are 23 listed admins/moderators from all over the world in the off-topic section, plus who knows how many unlisted admins/moderators. The odds of drawing the ire of one of these diverse volunteers is pretty high. See #2 above about banned camp being a lonely place.....

Looks like doc removed some of his(?) posts, for example the one following #8735. Lack of confidence?
Do I strike you as a person who lacks confidence?

Yeah but there was no reason to remove the post. All I said that could even be construed as political is that egg distributors are gouging prices based on the amount of publicity chicken cullings have been getting.

I'm betting on a database error. Happens fairly often on these large forums.
I removed my posts. AFAIK, I have never had a moderator remove any post of mine or had any warnings or infractions directed at me specifically. Occasionally, I decide to lower my social media presence and cull my posts. Like the poultry.

Well played, sir.
Does anyone have any idea what the pump w TSLA is lol?

This company has 0 good news coming towards it with sales down in virtually every country lol and the chinese eating their lunch... if this was valued like a car company stock it would be worth $30 a share at most.

Ford sold 2M cars last year or 10% more than Tesla and is at $10 per share.
Is that a serious question? The most powerful man in the united states government is tesla largest shareholder.

that sounded more like a political comment than anything to do w the stock itself...

it doesn't matter who is who... when the core fundamentals of the company are absolutely awful by just about every metric... in 2021, said person had nothing to do w the government and yet the stock went 10x in value... what lol
Pumping tesla stock is a direct bribe to Elon musk. If you think anything else you are a rube. His ownership stake is large and his compensation as a ceo is primarily in the form of stock.

There is no politics in the above statement or the prior post.

Yeah, but when has Tesla's valuation ever really made sense? The one time I touched it, I got burned, so I'm staying away. I cannot predict where it is going to go, it makes little sense given the underlying fundamentals.

And Elon is so mercurial - I think part of the valuation is this hope that he's going to introduce the next best thing under the Tesla brand...but why? Why wouldn't he just create a new company for it...he's done it before, and its making him money. At this point, I wonder if we might see a return to normalcy of Tesla stock price (which will be hundreds of dollars below what it is trading), but probably not, because the whole thing is inexplicable.

This is pretty much exactly how I see it... it has a tech company valuation as opposed to a car company as it was originally grouped together w the other tech companies... as this would be a company that brings in new future tech... those days are long over now tho as competition has long caught up...there are no fundamentals that give the company its value and it never made any sense to me at all... i think at this point, it just remains the status as a favorite pump stock.

as ive said above... was that true in 2021 as well when the stock rallied 10x for some bizarre reason?

yes. (shit take) tesla is how the US govt battles chinese battery tech dominance using the free market. transportation, communication, and rockets, the military trifecta.

yes i agree... free market my ass...

they've used the govt stimmy for 15 years now... altho this was very unpopular to say 5 years ago for some reason...
A far as car sales are going, things look pretty bleak for Tesla, from my POV. TSLA sales are plummeting in Europe, as EV sales surge there in general. China's BYD has overtaken TSLA in global sales. And BYD is now ready to release super fast charging vehicles and infrastructure, with a 5-minute charge producing 250 miles of range. This tech dominance hits TSLA where it most hurts - technical superiority. Automobile tariffs are going to hurt on both ends, as TSLA first gets hit on margins/prices and lost customers in America, and then with whatever retaliation (lost sales) comes at them in Europe and China, from both government action and consumer distaste. Slimmer margins and falling sales equal lost profits.

All of this as competition from traditional automakers is hitting its stride. So where does that leave TSLA? What is their competitive advantage at this point? FSD technology? TSLA's FSD was recently ranked 8th against other automakers. Tesla is emphasizing robotics now, as its value proposition. Yet, Tesla's large investment into autonomous driving software may very well be value destructive as the robotaxi product will face delays and competition from Waymo, who already offers a robotaxi service. What will differentiate TSLA's robotaxis from Waymo (or any other), besides a very unlikeable CEO?

Does anyone really believe people are going to buy TSLA robots to babysit and mow their lawns?

The bull case here is that TSLA will cut production costs. Or that TSLA will license FSD to other automakers. Seems thin to me.
anyone here post their portfolios?
Hold on to your butts.
