It’s been a rough week, fiber was down from Monday at dinner(that’s when I got a call) until this morning around 10:30.
My tech texted it was time for margaritas tonight, so I had a generous pour of Yellow Spot tonight. Hopefully I can get some shuteye tonight

If there is a wine tasting thread, I haven't seen it. Since we were sipping wine I thought I'd post this here.
My wife and I drove to Silver Oak Winery in the Oakville area of Napa Valley. We had 4 Cabernets (including 2 library wines), a non-Cab red blend and a Sauvignon Blanc from their affiliated winery. The tasting included a charcuterie plate.

We're fortunate to be 65 miles (about 75 minutes) from Oakville. You should fly out for the Silver Oak 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon release party which is Saturday, February 7. It's the weekend before the Super Bowl so you won't miss any football (or da Bears if they're still playing) and it's warmer too.

We need to get out. It’s been forever. We used to live in Irvine, which was a nice road trip.
Ever been to Jarvis. We love that winery.

Some spirits over the holidays
mookie45 wroteLove the rye. Still have 3/4 of a bottle. Some spirits over the holidays
I can use a recommendation for a bottle of Bourbon in the $100-ish price range. I don’t drink it or know anything about it but have a friend who recently turned 60 having a Bourbon, Bubbly & BBQ party in a couple of weeks. I don’t know if he has Bourbon preferences and it’s supposed to be “no gifts” so can’t really ask. Figure if I bring a nice bottle of Bourbon, it’s a no-gift loophole since he falls within theme of the party. Lots of ideas in this thread. Any good gift suggestions for a good quality Bourbon that would appeal to any Bourbon drinker?
Blanton's is pretty universally appreciated and is in that range these days.

My latest acquisition. It is "exceptionally smooth"... 🥃
