I bought the Springfield Armory High Power clone 2 weeks ago. Because I always wanted a High Power. It goes great with my 1911s.
Because of the Parkinson's I shake enough I cant be very accurate anymore but it is still fun.

It's interesting the mentality these days concerning firearms. I for one used to be anti gun. I don't remember when that shift changed. I think as I got older and saw more of the world is when my stance changed. Having now owned various firearms for a few years I am more attuned to people that are not comfortable with them. It's interesting when I have dated women that found out I have firearms through me telling them....some of them immediately go into the narrative...."I don't feel safe." Mind you, they never knew I have firearms as they're not in open view. I just thought it was time to discuss that part of my life.
My mom sort of splits the difference. I think she doesn't care for firearms. She found out I have them when one day she happened to be helping me clean my house and found my rifle bag with my AR in it. We've only talked a handful of times about guns in general. But one thing that she said to me which many 2A supporters have said....a gun doesn't shoot itself just sitting there by itself.
I think as more of this stupidity with tolerating criminals and going at it as a problem that can be solved with some social worker intervening, even the most staunch left winger will start changing their minds about the 2A. It was funny seeing lefties freaking out during the summer of love having crime on their door step. I know that if SHTF for real, for real, all of the anti-gun people would be hitting up their gun lovin’ and often conservative-leaning friends for help.

The Sigs and CZs with red dots are gone. I used to shoot a lot. 1000s a month between 5.56, 7.62, 9 and .357.

When you are shooting by 2 old guys with a deer rifle trying to sight it in and you put 20 308s in a small group in fast fire. Then they start flinching from your muzzle brake.

I had a Century AK. The ones with the crappy bolt. So I put a new one in it and it was a great gun. Head spacing gauges, Go no go and all that. On paper it was only about 1/2 as accurate as my ARs so it went finally. Felt like I was lobbing bullets down range with artilary.

One day we are at the range and 4 guys show up with an AR-15 new in the box. Doesnt even have sights on it.
They start shooting it Mogadishu style holding it up by their head or over it. Darndest thing I ever saw. The stock never touched their shoulder. All 4 do this.
My friend says they are shooting at your targets. I dont think they had the ability to shoot anything on purpose or had even ever shot a gun before. I used to shoot clay birds I threw randomly up on the 100 yard berm.
So I stood up and fired offhand and broke all of them one after the other with my AR-15 16 inch with an ACOG.
LOL they started whispering to each other and left in their tiny sedan.
That gun I still have. It's my cold dead hands gun.

I used the term "suppressor" but it really a "compensator" to reduces muzzle rise and improve accuracy in rapid fire steel shooting

i have a suppressed 21 with wml and a suppressed 19 with wml/red dot and my old issued 31 with wml staged and ready to go.
got a new henry lever action a few weeks ago but the receiver didn't have a rail like it was supposed to. contacted henry and they were like yes, it's supposed to have a rail, ship it back and sent me a ups label.
two hours later after i got it packed and ready to call, they email me back and say, how about we just ship you a new receiver and you install it? i said yes, it arrived today. time for some surgery.
We don't do gates here.

I built my lower and had several uppers but all I kept was the favorite made by BCM.
My AK never did much better than a 6 inch group at 100 yards. Perhaps I never found ammo it really liked.
