Just don't get that lacquer crap
Dont put it into an AR

Most comm block guns eat it just fine

I'm not a fan of the steel cased/laquer shit myself
Yeah I shoot steel at my outdoor range brass at indoor but only polymer coated not laquer. Seems this part of forum generates a decent amount of interest go figure we got some shooters here.
Finally, a manly thread.

We're just a bunch of mindless, neckbeard militia types. Stockpiling weapons of mass destruction at our compounds, waiting for the opportune time to overthrow the gubberment. Until then, we'll be content to terrorize all the peaceful citizens by going to designated shooting ranges to practice the overthrowing skills.

Viva la revolution!

From what I have been told and read, a lot of guns like the ones I am using (Glock, Sig, etc) can take such a fkn beating and still be ready and operate like a charm. My plan is to clean after every other range session...should be good.

Thanks for all of the info., guys.
If you shoot regularly, stay on top of spring replacements.

If you can't do that I'd buy at least one spare identically setup and shoot 2k through it along with your carry ammo. Use the spare to beat up on and rarely shoot the carry gun.
2k for springs is about what I planned. Have couple surplus guns i did upon receiving them.
I'm anal when it comes to springs.

When I carried glocks I swap all springs at 5k.

When my current HK hits 8k, I'm sending it in for service

How do you keep track of your rounds? Would take some serious diligence? You spreadsheet it? I guess its a good idea.
Yes! Hopefully I his thread stays open...my firearms aren't as cool as most others since unfortunately I live in dumbass Massachusetts. As far as MA goes I've got some nice stuff tho lol

I do keep logs on all my firearms.

When I carried g19/g26 I had a pair of each. On my range bitch gun(g19) I had a slide fly OFF the frame. I believe I had almost 10k through it with no spring replacements, just clean and lube every now and then. Before that I had the mentality that glocks were bulletproof, just replace the recoil spring. Not anymore.... On a glock I can detail strip and replace all springs in under 5 minutes. They're cheap. What if you have to pull a weapon to defend yourself and it craps out?

Since I moved to an HK I started keeping a spreadsheet on every pistol. I only have one HK that I carry and shoot. I intend on shipping the gun to HK at 8k because p30 can break the trigger return spring. Even the instruction manual only recommend s a new recoil spring at 25000 but I'd rather not take the chance. I know few people shoot enough to even require a spring replacement in their lifetime. I shoot weekly about 1000 rounds a month so I need tp be proactive.
I too have log book on each gun and keep track of rounds as well as any other issues.
