Any thoughts? I havent gotten it yet, but have heard everything from positive to negative...
I was all in about it.... until I read the reviews.....
I got it and I am not that impressed thus far. I am a multiplayer fan and right now its pretty bad. Only a few crappy hoppers and all the cars are made to be exactly the same performance wise.
IGN rated project cars 2 a 9.2. I bought a discounted version for $40(steam) and I'm not impressed. IGN rated forza similarly and some reviews state it plays like a free-to-play game. I'll wait until the price drops. I have to admit though I loved the previous forza horizon

I heard they took out Toyota in forza also.
im digging it. if you enjoyed the previous forza games, i dont see why you wouldnt enjoy this.

the only shitty thing is you cant actually buy some cars, they can only be obtained through loot boxes. one of which is the 991 gt3 rs which, as a porsche fanboy, fucking pisses me off.
I was waiting until the new xBox got released for this. I have always been a PlayStation guy but also wanted to play Forza. I have also been waiting for GT to come out which has taken forever.

Because the multiplayer is ruined. Ive been playing since Forza 2.
Project Cars 2 imo is 10x better than Forza 7. If you want something realistic then get PC2 if you want arcade like game then get Forza 7
I've probably owned all of the console/pc driving games since Atari Street Racer ('77).

Forza 7 - lots of fun!
Project Cars 2 - realistic but not as much fun.

Pre-ordered the new console so I'll be picking up Forza once that has finally arrived :happyanim:

Anybody have both PC2 and F7 that can comment on which is preferred?

I have both. I prefer F7.
Been a long time Forza fanboy since the first and all the Horizons, but I’m skipping this one.

Fuck micro transactions

*micro transactions are really not that big a deal. The game play is fun.
After more playtime the game itself is good they just need to fix the multiplayer hopper system.
I got it yesterday, havent gotten a chance to play yet...
Got it, like it better than Horizons 3 personally.

Its hard to compare Forza and Forza Horizons IMO. One is a "race simulator" style game and one is an "arcade" style game.

100% agreed. Yet I still like it better, lol.
Gotta say I really like it...
Much different than Horizon 3... this is effectively a simulator... I am in the hot hatch class at the moment and the Type R does really well.

Not trying to start a controversy but this is why I don't care for Forza -

Turn 10 developer himself -
"As I mentioned earlier, graphics and car count/content were the priorities, and physics was behind those on the list. The desire was to make the game where anyone can pick up the controller and turn laps, obviously will sell more games if it isn't too difficult... Some of us fought HARD to make it more realistic/simulator or have an option for it and if someone can't drive it then turn on the assists and try again.... Didn't quite fly. It's more of a sim than Horizon games, but it isn't where I'd like it to be. A lot of the current middle management was hired from EA/Need for Speed studio, so that says something about the direction the execs were taking. It seems to work and as the head of the studio drives a brand new Ford GT these days. Traded simulation and catering to enthusiasts to a mass audience and piles of money."
