Do we have a dessert thread? We have breakfast-lunch-dinner and pizza threads. If we do have a dessert thread feel free to ignore.

But if not.... let's post some porn for all us sweet tooth fiends.

I'll start with this weird crepe concoction I ordered from this place called "melt n' dip".

Don't do this to me. I'm on a diet. And I've got half a Trader Joe's pumpkin cheesecake in my freezer. Not as good as the Trader Joe's Keylime pie, which is one of the very best Keylime pies of all time. But still lethal.

Resistance is futile.

I'll have to try this Trader Joe's keylime pie. I'm more of a pecan pie person myself but I'm willing to get wild.
Trader Joe's keylime pie… my wife's favorite.

You've got a wait till the spring. It's a seasonal thing. I bought two extras, I had the last one two weeks ago. But their pumpkin cheesecake is really good. Not as good as cheesecake factory, but still very good.

Best pecan pie I ever had was Lowery's, the prime rib place. But it's been a few years since I've been there.
Gotta say Trader Joe's has very few good desserts. Homemade stuff just taste better, something about the sugar in store bought stuff. But I'm addicted so always buying desserts but never any artificial colors or preservatives.
Gonna make some homemade brownies and like making homemade chocolate mousse
McConnell's ice cream I've been liking lately.
GF likes baking, made these cookies below a few weeks back.

McConnell's… there is no substitute.

Edited because apparently I can't spell 20% of the words I type...

Now I really want some homemade cookies. With large chunks of chocolate.

Guittard chocolate chips, think she uses semi sweet.
How do you say Key Lime Pie in Spanish?

Key Lime Pie

Sorry, you'd have to be there.

As winter is rapidly approaching SoCal (it was low 50s this morning, barely 64 right now) my thoughts turn to finding a nice supply of fresh ginger root, newly ground cinnamon, tamarind sugar, and a frozen Marie Callendar's pie crust to make pumpkin pies. The real trick is to mix all the ingredients in a pan on the stove, over low heat, but not to the point it actually thickens. Then the pies are done in 55 minutes and don't burn the crust.

PLUS, you have a nice bowl of leftover pumpkin "soup" to spoon into you fat ass.
No dessert today, on diet :(

Lol. Rick, you always show photos of desserts after your meals. Decided to cut back? ;)

That looks fantastic. Excellent. The next dessert recipe I want to try is chocolate-hazelnut semifreddo I think. I assume you have an ice cream machine, if so, which one?
I posted this into the What's For Dinner thread a couple of months ago, Bête Noire, a flourless chocolate, bourbon and orange cake. Recipe from Milk Street.
