Shit. I love and miss my sweets. I still indulge on occasion, but not often. The plant managers son is taking a culinary course; he brought in almond joy macaroons and vegan apple fritter this morning. Had a bite of the fritter. As much as I enjoy sweets, nothing tastes as good as having a six pack feels.

mdf wroteThanks! Kitchen Aid stand mixer ice cream attachment. I want a compressor-type machine but low priority at the moment. That looks fantastic. Excellent. The next dessert recipe I want to try is chocolate-hazelnut semifreddo I think. I assume you have an ice cream machine, if so, which one?
wtwo3 wrotePlease don't. I still go in there and look around. Pizza is hands down my favorite thing to eat. I have gone from eating pizza at least once a week to now maybe once a month. I love a good brick oven pizza.I would like to refer you to the pizza thread.

What she doesn't embrace is the muffin top that might develop as a result of the crust, cheese and sauce.

Had some Polish cake after dinner, low sugar pastry was baked with blueberries.
Captain Blood wroteHad tiramisu yesterday. Wife picked it up from the bakery. Didn't like it but ate it anyway. Would rather have doughnuts. Mmm…'Father of tiramisu' Ado Campeol dies aged 93 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-59103658
Tried making truffles. Dark chocolate bourbon pistachio. First time making truffles. I need to work on my shaping skills. They look better in person.
Truffles Part 2. Dark chocolate & bourbon, in white chocolate. I did the first 12 rolled in crushed pistachio, last 12 dipped in white chocolate. It turns out dipping chocolate is trickier than the YouTube videos make it look. These are the first 4, after which results weren't as good. Oh well.
To celebrate our Sons 21st four of us went out for dinner last night.
The dessert was roasted carrot sorbet, rice pudding, ginger and cumquat.
Vert tasty!

Lady Jane wroteThat looks delish! You just HAVE to give me the recipe.
For afters it was baked apple strudel with vanilla ice cream
LemansE90335xi wroteI can't. It's a closely guarded recipe. All I can tell you is that you need boiling water, a secret powder, cold water and you can add some fruits. I'm not positive . But I've made another batch just to make sure. I'm getting the hang of it.You just HAVE to give me the recipe.
My favorite dessert of all time was Deep fried ice cream, which involves rolling some ice cream scoops in batter, tossing it in the deep fryer for a few seconds to make crispy on the outside, and topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Sofaking good!! I had it twice in my life because it seemed to be so hard to come by up here, and it turn out right at home / I did not like working with a deep fryer lol.
And now it's just a spoon of honey. lol
