ordered a YFCM Shaft for my DCT E92, expecting end of april.
supergoji wroteWas this through euroco.... or another source?ordered a YFCM Shaft for my DCT E92, expecting end of april.
So I have one of the first M Factory driveshafts. The bond between the CF and the Flange gave up and the shaft just spins now on the flange.
Is this something I can have repaired? Or should I just toss it in the trash?

BTW what's the years/mileage on your shaft? I have an MFactory Gen1 driveshaft, too.
Redd wroteYeah I guess in the trash it goes.Throw it away.
The car felt so good when it was on. Too bad I never had a chance to take it to the track.
COMTNRUNNR wroteYes it was through them. Was this through euroco.... or another source?
supergoji wroteAny update on your DS?Yes it was through them.
You guys should try the F8X CF DS
Are you building carbon driveshafts for racing?
I am still somewhat confused about sourcing a MFactory /YFCM driveshaft primarily because of what appears to be the only discussion of possible counterfeit MFactory driveshafts in a blog on the Euroconnex website.
What is the difference between V1, V2, V3, etc for the MFactory YFCM driveshafts? The part number on the MFactory website and Turner appear to be the same. What version is currently available for order if ordering from the MFactory site or Turner?
Are there indeed counterfeit MFactory driveshafts out there or is this just nonsense so Euroconnex can sell whatever stock they have? Is there really a difference between V2 and other versions re: NVH, failure rate, etc? The driveshaft is significantly more expensive through Euroconnex than through turner or MFactory’s website. Indeed, everything on the Euroconnex website looks like it is stuff you can get elsewhere for significantly less.

Wouldn’t believe anything that guys says.
Eurocon-xxxx spouts a lot of rubbish. I have never heard about counterfeit CF DS, either from MFactory or any other brand.
I have an MFactory V1 which is 10 yrs old and no issues. I do track my car too. Some of the early MF V2 had balancing issues, but they were also sold thru Eurocon-xxxx who had a falling out with MF so take it how u will. I believe you can only buy the V3 (latest) one now which has some new locking tech that prevents the shaft spinning on the end cap (most common failure mode).
Have not heard anything bad about the YFCM shafts. The M3 owners here like JFiber which is another TW brand, many users here with no complaints.
Whatever u choose to buy I recommend you order directly from the manufacturer to avoid issues with warranty claims (if any).

Does anybody know if I can get one of these f8x shafts modded in the UK to fit my e92 DCT or if anyone is selling the ends and willing to ship to the UK?
