Buying an E9x M3

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to get an E9x M3 and have some questions.

Besides the well-known issues like rod bearings and throttle actuators, I wonder if the daily use and maintenance of this unique V8 M3 would be a huge expense.
After replacing the rod bearings with ACL/BE ones, with proper maintenance and warm-up before the drive, would I need to replace them again in the future? (I've heard some rumours that BE bearings last longer than ACL. Forgive me if I'm incorrect.)

Are there any specific things I should check or be aware of when buying?

The market prices seem all over the place right now. Every car's condition is so different. (I'm hoping to find one with the M Button option haha.) If anyone has insights on pricing, I'd appreciate it!

i've had the be bearings in my car since 2019 (appx. 40k kms) and haven't had any issues personally. I did have trouble finding someone to install them in Sydney as most shops are apprehensive and want to use their own preference. Pretty sure BE stand by their bearings as a fix for the issue and have some sort of warranty on them from memory but i could be wrong.
I would keep in mind that bluetooth audio isn't standard on these cars and is an option but wont matter if you plan to install a carplay/android auto unit in the car as I have done.
