I'd be interested too if this ends up working out. Have had a Mr 12Volt in a box on my shelf for maybe a year.

For what it's worth, I bit the bullet and did it myself this weekend using a combo of the bimmertech mmi prime install video (until it differs b/c the box is different) and the Mr. 12 Volt videos. Just be careful with things and it'll be fine. Probably took me three hours b/c I encountered a stuck screw holding in my head-unit and had a painful time getting the A-Pillar trim back in. It was also super hot so I couldn't be in the car for more than about an hour at a time.
