EAE MOTORSPORT BILLET OIL CAP

It’s finally here. No more oil seep. No more loose caps. No more flimsy OEM tabs.

BMW’s factory oil cap was flawed from the start. They used thin stamped metal tabs that lose tension under heat and vibration, which means sooner or later your cap stops sealing tight and starts weeping oil across your valve covers.

And here’s the kicker: BMW eventually acknowledged the issue and even revised the design with a newer cap. But anyone who’s owned a BMW knows the truth — the “updated” version still leaked. It was built cheaply, with the same weak locking system and a poor design that never solved the root problem. I got tired of wiping oil off my valve covers, so I started the journey of designing and manufacturing a billet cap the way BMW should have from the beginning:

CNC-MACHINED 6061 BILLET ALUMINUM — rock-solid construction that won’t warp or wear out
THICKER HIGH-TEMP GASKET — seals properly and stays sealed, even under heat and pressure
PRESSED-IN STEEL DOWEL PINS — zero flex, zero fatigue, zero failure

This isn’t a cosmetic piece. It’s a functional fix to a design flaw BMW never truly solved. Lock it in once and forget about it. I’ve had this on my E60 M5, E39 M5, and E92 M3 for over 3 months with no leaks or seepage!

And the best part?
•LIFETIME WARRANTY — if it fails, we replace it
•ONLY SOLD WHEN IN STOCK — no endless preorders. We just received a batch of 100+ from the machine shop
•PRICED AS LOW AS POSSIBLE — no inflated margins, no “M tax.” Anyone who knows my reputation knows I’ve always built parts for the community first
•AVAILABLE IN BLACK OR CLEAR ANODIZED
•MADE IN USA

Hey can you let me know when these billet oil caps are back in stock? Would prefer a black one but I'll take whatever you get in stock first. Thanks!
Has anyone ran these for couple thousand miles?
I have and haven't had any issues or leaks. But just a pointer: if you touch this after the engine is hot, this also will be hot. That was the case with the stock cap, but this is much hotter just due to conductivity. Learned that one pretty quickly.
I was a little surprised by the lack of feedback on this thread as the leaking oil cap is such a common issue you'd think a lot of folks would be singing the praises of a cap that has finally solved the problem. But they're sold out on the website so people must be buying them. There's no negative feedback either. I'm willing to try one. I've been very happy with the throttle actuators I purchased from Abdul years ago, they've been perfect, so I trust their products.

The largest problem of the oil cap leaking is with the valve cover it self. The paint flecks off of the magnesium and the magnesium starts to pit and seep oil. A new cap and gasket can only do so much.

But it’s the NO MORE LEAKS!!11! cap!

Sigh.

Hey! They will be back in stock in about 1-2 weeks. We will have both colors in stock, and our orders will ship within 24 hours.

Thank you for trusting our products! This oil cap has been doing great on many customers' cars, and we are happy we could make something that not only looks good, but also fixes the issue we all hate. Let us know if you have any questions

I think this is mostly true. I have seen owners reporting the same leak with aftermarket aluminum valve covers with stock oil cap and gasket.
Quite possibly true. I did my valve covers and then upgraded mostly b/c i liked the billet look over the stock plastic, and if it theoretically leaks less, then so much the better. So far, so good.
A few people have mentioned that the billet cap gets pretty hot after the engine has been running, which is completely expected since it’s aluminum rather than plastic. Because of that, we designed a dedicated oil cap socket. It has a comfortable hand grip for normal use, and if you ever need a little more leverage, it also accepts a 3/8” ratchet. It makes removing the cap much easier without burning your hand or risking damage to the cap. Every EPM billet oil cap comes with this socket free of charge.

Our billet oil cap has become one of our most popular products because it solves a problem that other aftermarket oil caps or gaskets simply don’t. It doesn’t just add a nice touch to the engine bay. It actually eliminates the oil seepage around the oil cap while looking great at the same time.

It’s Made in the USA, priced at just $99, and if you install it and your engine is still leaking from the oil cap area, we’ll give you your money back. That’s how confident we are in this solution.

Check out how the Oil Cap Socket works.
So will this billet cap stop the leak of say a valve cover that has this issue? :bellyroll

Let’s give it shot. 😂

That’s pretty bad. If you get our billet valve covers, that will never happen.

I mean if it does...then that is something to write home about haha.

Yeah I will get those billet valve covers one day...but curious if that billet cap would do the trick

Send me a PM if you have any questions about the cap! We have had many positive reviews and customer experiences, so we expect it will solve your issue as well.
Any updates on when these caps will be back in stock? Looking forward to grabbing one.

Likewise, wanting a black one
Abdul's user avatarAbdul Could you post a photo of the finished underside of your billet aluminum oil cap? I'd like to see the gasket width, thickness, dowels and springs. Thanks in advance and hope you are well. PS: I'll never forget how you sent me my replacement Throttle Bodies practically over night even after I admitted I had no idea back then I had to pre-order them - and my car was "off the road" in the shop. Thanks again for moving the platform forward with innovative products as well as R&D.
Luckily I checked the website...saw there was one left in Black. Here is to hoping it works! If it does, then I will be ordering another one!
