Everyone played "not to lose", way too uptight. The exact opposite of 3rd place game yesterday.

Not surprising, but not too much fun to watch.
Spain outclassed Argentina, that only stayed in the game through the super-human efforts of its goalkeeper. Eventually, his and Argentina's luck had run out.

Messi was comletely abscent from the game. Playing down 1 man in overtime didn't help Argentina, but the result would have likely been the same regardless.

The best team won.

Yes, they turned their backs to the Spanish players, created mayhem backhome on the streets in Buenos Aires, started a fight on the field... and Messi looked completely lost. They will not get this far again without Messi again and if you know Argentinian soccer fans, a lot of this is no surprise.
