Man I did not see this. I bought a 2008 E92 M3 with the full intention of tracking it. It has everything I want, BUT is a sunroof car :(. The carbon roof is the only thing I didn't get.

Purchased July 2024
2008 Jerez Black E92 M3.
150k (estimated I don't remember) miles
DCT, Double hump
All stock
Rod bearings and motor mounts were quite literally just completed right before I picked the car up. Previous owner gave me a receipt and the old rod bearings.
$19.5k private sale.

Priced about right according to classic.com See all links and screenshots below. The E90 M3 sedan is becoming more rare everyday as many are converted to race cars, wrecked or taken off the road. I recommend getting the rod bearings replaced asap with B.E. bearings and ARP (B.E. version) rod bolts.

Not sure my post is relevant because i purchased my car at auction, but i feel like it gives some insight to those who are curious.

When purchased: Feb 2025
Year and Model: 2010 E92 M3
Miles: 120,000
Options: Alpine on black, CF roof, sunshade, EDC, extended leather, individual audio, double hump.
Rod bearings (and everything associated) , water pump, tstat, valve covers, timing cover were done at 98K per carfax.
No accidents or damage reported, but the drivers fender isnt original paint at least.
Transmission: DCT

I had a dealer friend bid on it for me at a dealer only auction, final bid was 14.3, after shipping and fees (and a little for him) i was into it for 16k delivered. Since delivery I've been throwing parts at it for my summer toy :)
2008 6MT Interlagos Blue E92 M3 single hump with sunroof

Rodbearings and throttle body actuators completed, and came with fresh set of ST XTA coilovers. Paint on the front/rear bumpers and hood is a little bit on the rough side but I had to jump on this car. I had been looking for an e92 m3 for almost 6 months, looked at some higher milage and a very clapped one, this one was best condition and value in my area.

The other reason I jumped on this is that the subframe wasnt super rusty. Hasn't been winter driven for 6 years, and I dont plan on it either.

Milage: 76,000 mi.
Paid $27,000 USD

However I've budgeted about $10k USD more on wheels, tires, repainting some panels, getting carbon fibre splitters, restoring some stuff to OEM, etc.

Still think I got a decent deal for the base car though.

Alpine white on bamboo interior, DCT with 126k miles. Paid 27k private party sale

Paint and interior 8/10 new condition, really impressed with this at the mileage.

Sunroof, individual audio, M-drive, double hump

Dinan intake and exhaust with TCU/ECU flashes

TAs done but no RBs, regular services done with receipts. PO agave me fluid, gasket and filter kit for next DCT service. No other mechanical issues at all

Absolutely fallen in love with this car, coming from an M340i which was really good, but this just blows it out of the water in terms of sheer joy. I find my self giggling and smiling non stop driving this thing.
