Jaypod wroteYes, that was Zahir's car in Targa 2011. I was just two cars behind him after he went in. He took the whole thing in stride.wasnt it the ZR Exotics Enzo that went into the ocean during the Targa?
Jaypod wroteI'm curious, too! I think the e46 sedan was supercharged, and didn't quite make 300kph, but Mike's car has...... ummmm........ slightly more jam, LOLYeah - thats what I thought.
The Race the Base event sounds pretty cool. Wish it was local to me. Curious to see what the S/C M3 could do.
I am sure you wont have a problem breaking the 300kph barrier in the new ride!
schnell325 wroteNiiiiiiiiiiiice! Mike, you will so love this. I hope it's warmer than last year, though - 8 to 10 degrees, and felt like zero, after being used to the warm summer!!!I'll let you know how a s/c'd M3 does.
How far a drive is that from Edmonton (or Calgary)? Might have to find a reason to be there on business even though I wont have my car with me.
If it's still in Cold Lake AB, it's only 300 km NE of Edmonton.
Will have to keep an eye out for this event. Might be a good one to spectate if I can make my travel schedule work
There will be a 1 mile speed runway event in Ohio this year. Here is the info.A lot closer than Cold Lake

TTBear wroteAllan... how's the new ride?!?!? Is the weather allowing you to drive it at all?Yep, that was Zahir's car
I just checked, Mike - my only recorded run (my first), was only 284kphMy second run (which was 12kph faster, according to the digital readout on the M3), did not register
They only used a standard-issue laser gun for the speed trap - something they will address at the 2012 event.

Thanks for asking - I wish I could answer that, but there are two mitigating factors, haha:
-Mary and I are on holidays - I am typing this from my laptop, sitting by the pool - it's 25 celsius, and oh, wait..... is that a cloud I see over there? Damn. It is.... Sorry, I'm a dick
. We are returning on Wednesday Dec. 14th.-Meanwhile, the car is still in transit - it left TO on Friday, December 9th - I just got an email from the Transport company - it is due to arrive tomorrow, so a friend is meeting the driver for me.
I'm probably one of the few people on holidays right now, that is actually (almost) wishing it was OVER, haha. To make matters worse, there is practically NO snow at home, and it was plus six two days ago, plus two yesterday! Could have been driving, almost!
Ah well - patience is a virtue....... or so they say, haha.
Thanks for asking! I'll let you know as soon as I can!
Have a great week!
TTBear wroteWhoa, long vacation Allan. NICE. I thought you were coming back this weekend, and the car was arriving NOW. Enjoy the sun!Hi Will!

Got my winter wheel set on the car now (220M wheels with Michelin Ice tires) they are on 18 inch wheels square on every corner ... they look a bit lost
must say the 19 inch summer tires (the stock) do look better.
I also posted a little story about my wild purchases in the past 2 years of 4 Bimmers and the sale of my e46 in the main m3 area ... something to read for the holidays
Storey is here ===> CLICK warning it's a bit long
Others have added there story as well ...

The 19s look so damn good, I'm half expecting a slight tinge of disappointment when I look at the car with the 220M 18s on there.

I will take a picture tomorrow with the 220M winter wheels that are 18 inch square on each corner ... I have to say it does not look as sharp the 1" and the non offset wheels do make a difference ... then that is okay for the winter time, I only drive the M3 here and then during the winter months.

Deals with the first oil change service after our new car break in. ... Can you fellows have a peek at your first service invoice as to what was done for oil changes?
There seams to be a difference in M-DCT and the 6MT as to what oil is being changed or not.
Perhaps you can chime in on the above link and advise what was done on your car.
We all know our SA might not be up to speed on it at all times ...
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Rolf-Dieter

Driving feels fair and will do just fine for the winter months whenever I do take her out (not too often or DD has the duty first).
Anyway as promised here have a look at the photos CLICK
