In addition to Bimmerpost being the first forum i have ever signed up for, i am a new user and need help editing my garage. I currently have two cars that I would like to edit but see no option to do so, or delete for that matter. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

No there is no option for that. It does say on the top "Thank you for verifying your account. In order to use the PM system, you will have to have 5 posts under your belt and wait 24-48 hours after the 5th post before your account is upgraded.

no idea. maybe there are rules governing it like there are PMs...need more posts plus a grace period? Or could be a glitch. Like how I can't log into the app because my password has a space in it.
