HOLY SHIT is right!!!

After I had my break-in service, I gradually worked up the courage to run it hard in 1st to redline. I spontaneously screamed out HOLY SHIT to myself (was driving by myself) when the needle rocketed up to the redline once past 6k. Plus the explosive noise that's going on, it's INTENSE!

I swear, we need a shift light on the 6MT too!!! It should be a HUD style shift light so I can keep my eyes on the road while smashing it to that rev!

I have had numerous DOHC VTEC cars from Honda including AP2, NONE of them comes even close to this kind of high and hard revving explosiveness of this S65... no wonder it is world engine winner of its class every single year in its production run!
I couldn't agree more!! I picked up my kids from school in it, and all they could say was, "DRIVE FASTER DADDY!" I got it up to 120 on the freeway, because I am 5 years old :P

I absolutely love the fact that when you start the car, the noise is so uninspiring; and then when you warm her up and get on the gas, she ROARS to life! I will never forget the sound of 8300 RPM...
Picked up my Individual Frozen Brilliant White coupe last Friday... currently enjoying Nice, France so just a quick posting. I'll follow up with more details and photos once I'm back from Euro Delivery.

Absolutely in love.

You are correct, Julie. It is called, 'Frozen (matte-finish) Brilliant White'. It is available as an individual color.
Congrats!

I got an update on my car today, Status 190! The good news is she gets here the week of my birthday! The ultimate b-day present to myself!

Just wait until after break-in...

I borrowed one that was broken-in this past Monday - after never having driven one past that point - and, HOLY SHIT, what a difference 3k RPM makes!!!
OMG had the 1200 mile service done yesterday and drove from NH to Alexandria, VA and got on the gas and it took off like a rocket. The shift lights lit up and the wife was loving the sound and power. Am loving the car...ride is little on rough side but worth it :happyanim:
New graduate of the class of 2013 !!!

Picked up my car today, unfortunately it was pouring in Houston, so I don't have any pro pics taken yet.

Car only had 5 miles on the odometer, PDI was done the second it got off the truck, so I would have it today. Surprisingly, the car was detailed very well. I had a chance to examine the car in the detailing room, which had CFL lighting. This light will show any paint defects, and I didn't see anything, no swirls, no holograms, was very impressed....... then I pulled it out to drive home, and was all wet from the rain :-)

As a side note. BMW Presence Plus, is the tire, wheel, windshield, and dent removal insurance... it retails for $2364 MSRP for 5 years. The finance guy offered the insurance at their cost. They don't use the actual BMW Presence Plus, they offer each of the protections thru third party vendors. The finance guy's quote was $3400, his cost .... hmmmm... needless to say, I didn't take the insurance. $3400 for 5 years, Jeez I spend $5,500 for my auto insurance for 5 years.. full coverage. I think he assumed that I wouldn't do my homework on this. Not worth it, at that price...

Any way, here are some pics:

hello fello 2013 graduates and soon to be graduates...was wanting to get an opinion: what are any of your thoughts on a tow-hook plate holder...damn NYC law mandates a front plate, but i dont want to have the front bumper drilled...my 335i had the front plate drilled and even with the plate removed...its not pretty
