JulieDriving wroteYep, I was in a creative mood and used photoshop to create an filtering effect called "Angled Strokes". It's actually the same picture as the "Winters" I posted earlier, that one is original. Is your signature pic meant to be fuzzy? Man, I looked at your car pic again. Jet Black on Fox Red... Thanks for the compliment, and I like your car color combo a lot. I honestly wanted to get some crazy individual colors like Azurite or something special, and a platinum interior with piano black trim. But cooler heads prevailed and I knew I couldn't wait that long
Plus, who the hell can keep white leather clean haha.

03BeastCharmer wroteGreat collection you have! Finally picked up the car on Friday. The 8 week wait after euro delivery was painful, but I've very happy to have the car back and introduce her to the rest of the family. Hanging out with two of her elders:D 1000 ///M horsepower! The E36 missed the party. Some of the goodies have made their way onto the car, including the Texas Roundel, still more to come next weekend. Granted my pile of goodies wasn't nearly as big as duyh's
Just happy to have the car again:love:
Even the Mummy wanted to see
JulieDriving wroteJulie, I love the look of those ZCP replicas and hope to get a setup like yours for next year. To get through this winter I stumbled upon a sweet deal on a lightly used set of A7's with Dunlops. The guy selling them had just traded his 2010 E90 M3 in on a new 2013 M5 and he only lives a couple hours from me so shipping wasn't an issue. Did you go with the stock 245/265 on the Blizzaks or did you downsize to 235/255 ?Those rims look great as the winter set-up. I almost that way myself.
Instead I bought the ZCP replicas. They look good but you do get what you pay for with the OEM's, as the quality is not the same with the replicas.
Here are some pics of the Avant Garde replicas on my car (19", stock, no spacers). Winter tires are Blizzaks LM-60's.
TQ
Happy to join the Class of 2013! Traded my 2010 335i M-Sport Coupe on Saturday for a 2013 M3. Pretty much loaded with DCT. Space Gray on Black. Here's a crappy iphone pic before any mods.
Have since thrown on the OEM Black Grills and Gills, IND colored reflectors and spacers. I just used the ones from my old car, 12 front and 10 rear. Front could probably go to 15, but 10 looks pretty good in the rear. Plan on tinting 35% all around and probably getting a clear bra. Also hunting for an exhaust to throw on after the 1200 mile maintenance. Only about 900 miles to go.

NHman wroteCompletely different animal. They may look alike, but it's amazing how different they are. 335 is a good car, cheap to mod and make quick in a straight line with the Twin Turb's but the M3 just feels like a beast. So fun to drive. Just looking forward to getting it broken in so I can see what 8000 RPM sounds like.Congrats! Space Grey is a beautiful color on the M3. How does it compare to your former 335i M-sport?
So far I'm diggen the DCT too, was a tough decision not to get a manual but I think I'm gonna love the DCT. I've used S a little, but trying to keep it in auto mode as much as i can during break-in.
Picked up my 2013 2 weeks ago. Already have 1500 miles! After the 1200 mile service, the car feels different. Engine noise is louder, car feels faster. Perhaps all of this is in my head, but I am totally in love with the M3. My previous BMW was a 135i, which felt like driving a truck in comparison. I am impressed with how the M3 can be a great long distance GT or a twitchy track monster with the press of a button. I considered a 911, but the M3 is more practical: more passengers, bigger trunk.
By far the best car, and best bang for the buck. Lousy NW weather, will post better pix if the sun ever comes out.

TQ_trackman wroteHey trackman - I bought my tires from Ben at tirerack (great guy btw and often recommended here) and he advised to go with the slightly larger 255/275.Julie, I love the look of those ZCP replicas and hope to get a setup like yours for next year. He said his experience is that the OEM 245/265 tires are just too small for the ZCP wheels. The stock (summer) tires are already very stretched, and he explained that the issue is exacerbated with winters, which generally need to be slightly larger for a given size of wheel.
I also saw a thread on bimmerpost where that actually happened to someone. The guy brought his tires to the dealership and they tried and tried but could not fit his winter 246/265 tires on his (stock) ZCP wheels.
The tire shop even had trouble installing my 255/ 275 tires, so I'm glad I didn't go any smaller!
Here's a screen shot of what I purchased.

Ugh, the wait is killing me, my car has been on en route status for like 2 weeks now. Is this normal?
Does it really take that long @ the VPC?
Not that I'm rushing to take delivery during the winter on summer tires, but, OMG the wait.

JulieDriving wroteHey Julie - when you got your car did you treat the leather with anything special to protect and preserve it? I was thinking Zaino products, but maybe it's too early to do that, what do you think?Happy New Year Class-of-2013!
Also, completed break-in service recently! Went really well, and got the car back in 2 hours. Got to admit, I was revving happily to 8000 rems once I broke the 1000 mile mark.

and congrats! post some awesome picts.
