What are you getting?
this is pretty much a RTFM reply, but I see that you actually don't have TFM. So I would do search for TFM on the fourm. Once you have your car, you can go ahead and register on My BMW and download a FM. You can try to register on My BMW to see if you can just download TFM.

sorry op, you can probably tell I really like my Memes. And since this is the 5th year of the E9X M3, I don't get alot of chances to use the RTFM Memes anymore. lol

whoa didn't even know they offered it as a free download to for all.
Been out there for years but they don't seem to have the M3 supplement manual, just the generic 3 series...

Edit: A simple search turns up an older copy. Should have all the basics on setting M Drive, EDC etc...

I'll try not to take it personally...but I did RTFM off of 'my BMW'...as another poster said...it is a generic 3-series and does not cover what I asked about...
I'm still learning about exactly how much power my M3 has and where the limits are (mostly MY driving limits... and not the car's) so I have my M settings rather conservative and I'm very happy with them for the moment (just for that extra little zip in my ride when I want it - not going for the checkered flag here).

Also, mine is standard transmission - FYI

EDC = Normal (FYI in this mode the car makes adjustments, whereas in sport it's always stiffer)
Power = Sport (sport plus was too twitchy for me at this point)
Servotronic = Sport
DSC = On (the dealer recommended M Dynamic Mode, but right now I still think the car is smarter than I am so I like the idea that it won't let me color outside the lines)
I lived with Sport as my M setting for throttle for a while, because of how jerky it can be if you're not really "on it", but the absolute insanity of Sport Plus is a big part of the car's appeal to me. It definitely takes some getting used to, but now I've got Sport as my default setting and Sport Plus as my M setting - it actually feels a bit sluggish to me now in Sport mode!

Even if you never set Sport Plus to your M settings, make sure you manually switch to it every once in a while to feel what this car is really capable of - the immediate response is addicting!
